Earlier I found a book voucher in a drawer, and ended up buying this as the presentation reminded me of Persepolis (and I loved Persepolis). The drawings are pretty stunning - the preview you can seen at that amazon page doesn’t do it justice. I can’t imagine how long it took to draw. It’s a hard book to put down too - despite the hefty weight ha - the story draws you in and there’s a bunch of interesting nuggets about Christianity & Islam and mythology. It reads like the compilations of ancient stories I used to read when I was a kid. I kind of love it so far.
